Our Peeps: Christine Allen

Our Peeps: Christine Allen

Join us in welcoming Christine Allen to NH Audubon Staff. Christine will be working as an Administrative Assistant at the McLane Center. Christine grew up in New Hampshire and spent most of her younger years camping with family, outside backpacking, hiking, and exploring. Christine earned her degree in Business Administration from Merrimack College. She worked in the Health Insurance Industry for many years before being blessed enough to stay home and care for her children and parents. She ensured that her children were immersed in outside activities, from hiking, skating, skiing, rock climbing and just enjoying the comfort of being outside. She volunteered at her children’s school, teaching an afterschool class titled “Becoming a Junior NH Park Ranger” and spearheaded the school to have many field trips to an outside educational center that coordinated with curriculum. The students and faculty enjoyed!

Now that her children are grown it is time for Christine to work for what she believes is in the best interest for her family, herself, and the future – protecting, preserving, and giving back. New Hampshire Audubon embodies all that is important to her heart, from ensuring that nature is part of our daily lives, protecting and preserving wildlife, and making being outside accessible and fun for all.

In her free time, Christine enjoys being outside, whether it is hiking, mountain biking, skiing or just going to the beach. She is trying her hand at learning outdoor photography and improving her golf skills.
