Guided Paddle at the Newfound Center

July 21 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Embark on a wildlife adventure with our naturalist along the banks of Newfound Lake, Hebron Marsh, and the Cockermouth River. Sightings often include Great Blue Heron, Painted Turtles and an occasional Bald Eagle. Canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards are available for rent, but the program itself is free. Boat rentals will be charged the 2 Hour pricing, see info here. Participants may bring their own paddle-powered vessels if they do not wish to rent, but getting boats to the water is difficult. Please arrive 30 minutes before the start of the program and be sure to bring your own drinking water, sunblock, and a light snack. ((Registration is at 1:30pm; paddle begins at 2pm.)

By attending this event, you and anyone you register on behalf of agree to NH Audubon’s Outdoor Education Program Liability Release & Agreement Waiver. Please email Jake Morel with any event questions.

Guided paddles are free to attend, without rentals. If you feel inspired to support New Hampshire Audubon’s work, please consider a gift to our Annual Fund at nhaudubon.org/donate. Your contribution supports priorities like environmental education for people of all ages across NH, stewardship of nearly 10,000 acres of conserved habitat, science-based environmental policy and advocacy, and statewide conservation research and wildlife monitoring.
