Welcome to the Summer 2025 McLane Center Assistant Camp Director, Stephanie Zimmers!
Stephanie is a scientist with a passion for life-long learning, science and nature. She studied Molecular Genetics at The Ohio State University and has a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Massachusetts. After teaching biology for several years in Massachusetts, she has been conducting outdoor educational programming in New Hampshire in various roles within New Hampshire Audubon and other organizations. Stephanie is passionate about creating unique environmental education experiences and recognizes the importance of helping students develop other skills such as critical thinking, communication, confidence, and creativity.
Stephanie is also a certified Alpine Level III professional ski instructor. During the winter months, she manages snowsports instructors, teaches lessons for clients, and conducts on-snow training for staff. She loves outdoor activities, and you can often find her skiing, hiking, kayaking, or mountain biking. She is excited to continue working with New Hampshire Audubon to develop educational programming and inspire others to learn about biology and the environment.
