Join us on April 5th for a day of conservation action as we host two FREE events focused on protecting our cavity-nesting bird populations.
- 10am-1pm: Learn all about our NestWatch Monitoring program, including how to identify nests, eggs, and other characteristics of Eastern Bluebirds, American Tree Swallows, Black-Capped Chickadees, and more. Hear about what it takes to join our volunteer monitor team or apply the knowledge you gain to monitor nestboxes in your own backyard. This program is geared toward adult audiences, teens welcome! - 1-3pm: Build a nestbox with our experts, during this family-friendly activity, then take it home to provide habitat for birds in your own backyard. RSVP here! (One free birdhouse per family.)
RSVP’s for both programs are required by April 3rd. Programs are free but donations are welcomed to support our NestWatch program (select “Massabesic NestWatch Program” from the Gift Designation menu).
