Thanks to the efforts of Eversource and their contractors, an Osprey nest located on the Androscoggin River in Gorham was recently moved from an electrified transmission line to a safer stand-alone nesting pole. NH Audubon, Squam Lakes Natural Science Center, and NH Fish and Game all offered guidance on this project, in which Eversource transferred the nest to its new location in March 2022 (right) prior to the Ospreys’ return from the tropics. Judging from their reaction upon returning in mid-April (left), it looks like it worked!
