Join us via Zoom for a discussion and analysis of Better Living Through Birding: Notes from a Black Man in the Natural World. In this book, writer Christian Cooper illustrates his life story leading up to an infamous viral video in May 2020, which sparked discussions of racial tension in outdoor spaces. The meeting, facilitated by Newfound Center Coordinator and Environmental Educator Devin Guilfoyle, will focus on themes, reactions, and takeaways from this book. We will break into groups during the meeting to allow for greater participation and closer conversation. Come prepared to share your thoughts and ideas!
