The theme of this year’s World Migratory Bird Day is creating bird-friendly cities and communities. Help create a better community for birds by learning how to make different types of bird habitats and steps you can take to protect birds in your area! Learn how you can build different bird homes for different species and how to reduce bird window collisions, which are estimated to kill one billion birds per year. Members of the education department will demonstrate how to build different bird homes, how to reduce the likelihood of bird-window collisions, and other things you can do to protect migrating birds.
This is a free event with an open house format; feel free to show up at any time within the event time frame. RSVP (one per family) by Friday, May 2 if you would like to participate in the workshop. Walk-ins who wish to observe or ask questions are welcome. Limit to one birdhouse per family.
