November Brockway Wee Explorers Programs

(by Devin Guilfoyle)

Accompany your 3-5 year-old as we examine nature and the seasons at the John Brockway Nature Preserve in Hopkinton through the Brockway Wee Explorers Program! The Fall 2024 Program Series continues in November with these programs:

  • November 6: Log Jam – Why are there so many logs in the forest? Where do they come from? What do they do? Explore the answers to these questions and many more.
  • November 20: Turkey Talk – Go through a day in the life of a wild turkey as we explore their traits and try to find evidence of them at the Brockway Preserve.

Programs will start at 10am and will run approximately 45 minutes. Programs are free, with a suggested donation of $5. Thanks to an endowment from Dorothy Brockway Osborn, programs are free for Hopkinton Residents. RSVP is required, one per child.

This is an outdoor location with no bathroom facilities. Please dress children for the weather and be ready to walk on the trail, sit on logs and the ground, and dig in the dirt! Programs will be cancelled if poor weather is predicted during the program time; participants will be notified by email of cancellations. Park at the Brockway Nature Preserve parking area along Farrington Corners Road in Hopkinton. For detailed directions, search for Brockway Pond on Google Maps or visit this webpage.
