Our Earth Day 2024 Celebration, Planet vs. Plastics, began with some clouds and rain, but quickly after opening turned into a warm place to be, both because of the weather shift and enthusiastic attendees. Almost 200 people came out to learn and have some fun during the Early Morning Bird Search, the Where Does it Go? Recycling gameshow, a trip to the pond for the Amphibian Exploration program, and a feature presentation by The Caterpillar Lab. Attendees were able to build their own Carolina Wren nest box, learn garden tips from the UNH Master Gardeners, see up close how composting works, and discover more about animal migration through our MOTUS towers. Thank you to all attendees and volunteers who made the Earth Day 2024 celebration one to remember. We look forward to seeing everyone back again next year, and if you missed this year’s event, plan to attend in 2025!
Thank you also to this year’s Earth Day sponsors: our Supporter Jim Trombly Plumbing & Heating and product sponsor Badger Balm.
