“Dynamic,” “Happy place,” “Community,” “Engagement,” “Champion.”
These words represent a few reflections from our staff, board, donors, and members in response to: “Describe New Hampshire Audubon using one word.” With four focus areas – conservation science, environmental education, land stewardship, and environmental policy – working in conjunction to achieve our mission, it is hard to summarize the organization with just one word.
After 24 hours of generosity during NH Gives June 11-12, our current selection is: FORTUNATE! We are filled with gratitude for the 91 donors who collectively gave a total of $5,905!
During the 24 hours, we shared a series of social posts featuring our conservation biologist with the longest tenure – Carol Foss, Senior Advisor for Science and Policy, who is approaching 50 years with New Hampshire Audubon! If you missed any of the posts, visit our Facebook page (if you don’t have an account, you can still click on the link to view the content.)
Thank you also to Angelica and Keryn from the NH Center for Nonprofits for stopping by during their road trip – President Doug Bechtel, Education Coordinator Shelby Morelli, and our ambassador Red-tailed Hawk joined in for a feature on Facebook live. We were honored to be part of the state’s largest day of giving, during which 14,837 donor statewide gave a collective total of more than $3.5 million to 650 nonprofit organizations. Thank you!
