Season’s Greetings

(by NH Audubon President Doug Bechtel)

Happy Holidays, everyone! As I write this on December 2, I am witnessing the first significant snowfall of the month. No matter where you live in New Hampshire, there’s probably a fresh coating of snow on the ground – a unifying reminder of nature’s beautiful seasonal change and a new year around the corner. We hope you’ll take time to enjoy the remainder of 2025’s festivities – by joining in the camaraderie of the Christmas Bird Count, exploring one of our sanctuaries to see winter wildlife, or if slowing down isn’t your speed, by visiting our popular annual Holiday Craft Fair at the McLane Center this weekend. We wish you a joy-filled holiday season – and don’t forget to appreciate the snow!
