In honor of Black Birders Week, NH Audubon and the Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire are partnering for a guided tour in Portsmouth. We will begin at the BHTNH office, meander through gardens, and end at the water. Learn about the rich and often forgotten African-American history of New Hampshire while keeping an eye out for birds and other local wildlife! Expect to see swifts darting between buildings, sparrows collecting nesting materials, and multiple species of gull. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start of the trail tour. Free parking is available at the Parrott Ave. Parking Lot and along streets nearby. All ages are welcome. Space is limited and registration is required.
All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire.
Please review NH Audubon’s Outdoor Education Program Liability Release & Agreement Waiver before registering.
