As I was leaving the Post Office in Concord, I caught a glimpse of a flock of small, fast-flying birds over the large fields that border the Merrimack River. I pulled over and looked again and caught a glimpse of white and black wing patterns – Snow Buntings! About 70 of them flew together back and forth, never landing, and eventually flew north over the river. I love reminders like this. No matter the season or where you are, there is always a wildlife encounter waiting to enjoy. Thanks for helping us ensure these remain part of our natural environment! Happy holidays and best wishes for 2025.
