Join us for the 25th Annual Pondicherry Migratory Bird Day with a 3W birding event, where we will look for warblers, woodpeckers, and waterfowl. We’ll walk 3 miles round trip on flat terrain to Cherry Pond, with an option to add another 2 miles round trip to Little Cherry Pond, searching for warblers and the elusive black-backed woodpecker. We often spot 90 or more bird species, along with wildflowers and wildlife. Free Migratory Bird Day posters will be available.
Saturday 16 May 2026. 6am-12pm. Pondicherry National Wildlife Refuge. We will meet at the Pondicherry Trailhead, 289 Airport Road, in Whitefield, NH.
The event is free and sponsored by the Ammonoosuc Chapter of NH Audubon and the Friends of Pondicherry.
