Cover Crops and Fall Vegetables – What to Plant at the End of the Season

Gardening season may be winding down, but there are still things that you can plant in your vegetable garden in the fall. Learn about the value of cover crops and some examples of what to plant for soil health and spring garden preparation. Discover the wonders of fall planted spinach and gain some tricks for planting garlic – one of the easiest crops to grow if done right.

Instructors: Nate Bernitz, UNH Extension Public Engagement Program Manager and Beth McGuinn, long-time organic gardener and garden educator.

Location: Demonstration and Teaching Garden at NH Audubon’s Massabesic Center

Fee: $15/person; $10/NH Audubon member or UNH Extension volunteer
