Tips for Growing Tomatoes: Trellising, Pruning and More

This event has passed.

July 26 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Tomato season is coming into full swing! In this workshop, we’ll discuss the differences between the two major growth habits of tomato varieties: determinate and indeterminate. Understanding these differences will determine how best to manage them. We’ll discuss and demonstrate different ways to support the plants for better production: staking, caging, overhead trellising, and the “Florida Weave.” We’ll show how to prune tomatoes to control growth and improve disease prevention.
