Welcome Hope Jordan!

Welcome Hope Jordan!

Hope Jordan, a professional fundraiser, writer and outdoor enthusiast, is the new Director of Membership and Development for NH Audubon. She has more than 20 years of experience in philanthropy for NH-based nonprofits.

“I couldn’t be more excited to work with Hope at NH Audubon,” said Doug Bechtel, President of NH Audubon. “Hope brings decades of fundraising experience, and her close personal connection to habitats and wildlife make her the perfect fit for our team.”

Hope Jordan joins the NH Audubon staff as Director of Membership and Development, April 2020.

Jordan, who was recently the Director of Advancement for Amoskeag Health, grew up in rural Central New York, where she learned to swim in Oneida Lake, explored the woods and marshes of her backyard, and hiked the Adirondacks on family camping trips. She has lived in New Hampshire since 1989.
“New Hampshire’s forests and mountains feel like home to me,” Jordan said. “And I’m still in awe of the fact that I can drive to the ocean within an hour. I’ve had the privilege of raising my own family among this state’s wealth of natural resources, and I can’t wait to help continue strengthening NH Audubon in its efforts to conserve and manage our sanctuaries, and to educate and inspire future generations.”
Jordan holds dual degrees in magazine journalism and English from Syracuse University, a master’s in education from Plymouth State University, and a master’s in creative writing from the University of Massachusetts in Boston. She has served as the Director of Public Relations and Marketing for the Currier Museum of Art, the Director of Annual Giving for the University of New Hampshire, and the Director of Advancement for Amoskeag Health. She has served on committees and presented workshops for the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and was a longtime board member of the NH Writers Project. She is an alumna of Leadership Greater Manchester and Leadership Lakes Region. Jordan is also a widely published poet and a fiction writer who has taught college courses on journalism, public relations and poetry.
