Conservation Quest Camp is a filmmaking partnership experience with Media Power Youth all about outdoor discovery and protecting our natural world, for youth ages 10-14!
Campers in this program will discover the joys of being present in nature while having fun with new friends and creating short films to share their conservation stories.
Each week, campers will engage in a variety of outdoor activities including hiking and ponding, while learning from our educators about the environment and local wildlife. Campers will also immerse themselves in the filmmaking process as they get hands-on with cameras, play with sound, and learn the secrets of editing. They will have the opportunity to experiment with greenscreen technology and get to know MPY’s media experts as well.
This year we are hosting sessions at both the McLane Center (July 21-25) and the Massabesic Center (August 4-8). See details below.
At the end of the summer, the films created by our Conservation Quest campers will be featured at MPY’s 2025 Youth Film Festival along with the works of other young filmmakers across the state.
Media Power Youth is a youth development organization that inspires young people to engage with media in thoughtful and creative ways that support well-being.

This unique blend of outdoor exploration and filmmaking culminates in a grand screening at Red River Theatres, where campers’ stories and passion for conservation take center stage.
