“Native New Hampshire Birds” Coming to the McLane Center

“Native New Hampshire Birds” Coming to the McLane Center

September 12-November 2: Mark your calendars for the opening of the “Native New Hampshire Birds” exhibit, and its reception on September 20. Artist Shannon Bender began this series inspired by residents of the Upper Valley’s passion for birdwatching and the variety of birds in the area. She shared, “What a joy for people to see some of the many species that we have here in a painting series.”

The exhibit displays different characteristics of each bird. Each original piece can take between 17-65 hours of strategic feather painting and many layers of acrylic, which bring the painting to its final resting state. Come see the beauty for yourself!
