DESCRIPTION:Open new realms each week as our Lead Naturalist helps participants focus their senses on different fascinating elements of their surroundings such as birds\, trees\, ferns\, wildflowers\, and more. In this guided hike\, learn about the birds of Hebron Marsh. Please meet at Ash Cottage (red building) at the Hebron Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary. Limited pairs of binoculars are available for use. Participants are encouraged to bring their own binoculars and/or field guides for further exploration. \nPlease review NH Audubon’s Outdoor Education Program Liability Release & Agreement Waiver before registering.

SUMMARY:Birding Outing at Hebron Marsh
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a birding outing at Hebron Marsh! This walk will go through the trails of Hebron Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary. The sanctuary consists mostly of grassland on the edge of mixed forest with views of the northwest corner of Newfound Lake. Birds seen here previously include Red-eyed Vireo\, Canada Goose\, and Eastern Bluebird. \nThis is an informal birding outing that begins in front of NH Audubon’s Ash Cottage and explores the trails with Newfound Center staff. All ages and skill levels of birders are welcome. If you are new to birding\, come and learn the basics! If you are an avid birder\, come to learn new techniques\, network with other birders\, or share your expertise with the group. \nThis is a free event. Binocular rental is provided. Please dress for the weather\, with sturdy shoes. Expect to walk between 1-2 miles with some elevation change through grassy terrain. Parking is available on the shoulders in front of Ash Cottage (50 N Shore Rd.\, Hebron). Trails may be soggy or muddy. Dogs are not allowed on this walk. Please review NH Audubon’s Outdoor Education Program Liability Release & Agreement Waiver before registering.
