DESCRIPTION:This trip is sold out – wait list only! \nTo get on the wait list\, please contact Bob directly at RAQbirds@aol.com \n— \nExpert Naturalist\, Bob Quinn\, is leading two discounted wildlife tours of northern New Hampshire\, focusing on Lake Umbagog and the Connecticut Lakes. \nOctober 16-18\, 2022 and October 18-20\, 2022 \nThese short\, two-night tours will be FAMILIARIZATION TOURS of the best wildlife areas in northern New Hampshire. They are deigned to introduce you to the natural wonders of this area and to encourage you to return to them. \nBlack-backed Woodpecker (male)\, photo by Bob Quinn.\nNorth of the well-known White Mountains there are enormous tracks of wild forest that are full of great birds and other wildlife yet have few visitors. These dramatic landscapes shimmer with brilliant lakes and the bogs are frequented by secretive Moose. And the birds! In May the warblers should be in abundance and the northern specialties such as Canada Jays and Black-backed Woodpeckers will be nesting. \nWe will spend one night each in Errol\, near the wild and unspoiled Lake Umbagog\, and in Pittsburg’s stunningly beautiful Connecticut Lakes region. This will give you an introduction to these marvelous areas\, including a chance to see some great birds and other wildlife.
