DESCRIPTION:This event has been cancelled. \nPurslane and crabgrass and chickweed\, Oh my! Weeds can be a real problem in gardens\, robbing preferred plants of nutrients\, space\, water and sunlight. Managing weeds can be a backbreaking and time-consuming chore. In this workshop you’ll learn techniques that reduce the need to weed so you can spend more time tending and enjoying the plants that you WANT to grow.  You’ll also learn about and be able to try different weeding tools that make the job easier and more effective. \nJoin UNH Extension Master Gardener Will Lowenthal and Master Gardener Program Manager Ruth Smith at the next in-person workshop at the UNH Extension Demonstration Garden located at NH Audubon’s Massabesic Center at 26 Audubon Way in Auburn. \nSpace is limited to 30 participants\, pre-registration is required \nFee: $15/person; $10/NH Audubon member or Extension volunteer \nClick this link to register \nRegistration deadline: Monday June 27 at 9:00 a.m. \nTo request a reasonable accommodation\, please email ruth.smith@unh.edu or call 603-355-2718 \nThis workshop is offered through a partnership with UNH Extension and NH Audubon.
