DESCRIPTION:Visit the McLane Center to see “The Balm for the Wounds We Bear” exhibit by Kathleen H. Peters! Kathleen works with many mediums as an artist – such as pottery\, pastels\, paint\, cement\, wood\, metal\, and glass. This exhibit showcases her paintings and appreciation for the beauty of simple things. Kathleen shares that her technical background in engineering has lead to her understanding materials properties of the mediums she works with\, allowing her to be precise and produce high quality works of art. SUMMARY:Composting for Home Gardeners Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Composting is the process of recycling organic debris into material that both reduces items in the waste stream and creates a useful garden product. Participants will gain information about the science of composting\, how to compost successfully and how to create and use their own compost system. \nThis workshop will include indoor and outdoor presentations and display the compost station at the Demonstration Garden. Dress for a short walk over grassy\, flat\, but uneven terrain. Bring garden gloves if you have them. \nPresenters: UNH Extension Advanced Master Gardener Ron Trexler and Master Gardener Tabor Browder will co-lead this workshop. \nCost:  \n$10 for NH Audubon members and UNH Extension Master Gardeners\n$15 for non-members (Join or renew your membership today!
