SUMMARY:BBW Pickering Ponds-Autumn
DESCRIPTION:One of the top 10 birding spots in New Hampshire\, this walk will traverse Rochester city park trails along the Cocheco River and around the former wastewater treatment settling ponds. Meet at the Pickering Ponds parking area at 8am. The entrance is about a mile south of the Rochester Wastewater Treatment Plant on Pickering Road (opposite mailbox #374). Contact: Dan Hubbard at danielhubbard@peoplepc.com or 603-978-0218. \nThis field trip will be limited to 20 participants. Visit the Seacoast Chapter website for event details and to sign up. \nIf this trip is full\, there is also an encore of this trip on September 18. \n  \nBeginner Bird Walks (BBW)  \nThe NH Audubon Seacoast Chapter will have six Beginner Bird Walks (BBW) this fall\, 2022. Although these walks are geared with the beginner birder in mind\, birders of all levels of expertise are encouraged to participate and share their experiences. Children are gladly welcome with an adult. Participants should be fully vaccinated and are encouraged to bring binoculars\, water\, insect repellent\, and sunscreen. \n

SUMMARY:Timeless Nature Art Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:The McLane Center presents the artwork of Merrimack River Painters in an exhibit called “Timeless Nature.” The exhibit is visible during open hours (Tues-Fri 11am-5pm)\, September 9 through October 14\, 2022. \nTimeless Nature \n“We are a group of experienced artists from New Hampshire and Maine\, who share a love of nature. We have been showing our art individually and as a group for more than 15 years. We celebrate the joy of creating with our audience. \nWe are not a timid bunch\, but women who are risk takers in our art and our approach to showing it. We have been together as a group for over 15 years\, Merrimack River Painters (MRP) meet monthly and over the years we have evolved from watercolor to other mediums such as collage\, oils\, acrylics\, pastels\, cold wax\, etc. \nWe try to come together to share our experiences with each other.
