SUMMARY:Art Exhibit: From the Ground Up
DESCRIPTION:McLane Center is pleased to announce a new art exhibit on display by artist Ingeborg Seaboyer. The display will be up for public view from June 3-29 in Concord during regular center hours Tuesdays-Fridays from 11am-4pm. \nFrom the Ground Up – A Forester’s View \nIngeborg Seaboyer is a lifelong resident of Derry\, New Hampshire. Her art education has stretched from Pinkerton Academy to the University of New Hampshire to the Manchester Institute of Arts & Sciences (now the New Hampshire Institute of Art) where she began to explore pen and ink drawing in 1993. A forester with the State of New Hampshire Division of Forests and Lands\, her drawing has turned into something of a second career. Her works draw on her lifetime in fields and forests of New England; truly viewing those rural landscapes from the ground up. \nIngeborg has illustrated three books: Selecting Trees for Urban Landscape Ecosystems\, and Good Forestry in the Granite State 1st and 2nd Editions. She provided most of the illustrations for Project Learning Tree’s Focus on New Hampshire Forests. Additionally\, she has completed commissions for the New Hampshire Timberland Owners Association\, the New Hampshire Tree Farm Committee\, the Granite State Division of the Society of American Foresters and UNH Cooperative Extension. She often combines watercolor and colored pencil with her pen and ink techniques\, as well as working solely in watercolor. She is a founding member of the Derry Area Artists Collaborative and her work can be viewed at www.derryareaartists.com.

SUMMARY:Photography Workshop at Massabesic Center
DESCRIPTION:Date: June 29th\, 5:00pm-6:30pm \nPrice: $12 for members\, $15 for non-members \nJoin local nature photographer\, Tracy Brunner\, at the Massabesic Center for a late afternoon photo hike along Massabesic Lake. The walk will start at the Center and continue on the trails to photograph the beautiful lakeshore landscapes and the local wildlife. During the workshop\, Tracy will discuss tips for getting the most out of your landscape photographs\, will provide suggestions for camera settings and creative compositions\, and answer your photography questions. \nRecommended Equipment: \n· Camera with spare batteries \n· Comfortable walking shoes \n \n· Wide\, standard\, or zoom lenses (any will will work) \n· Tripod (optional) \n· Polarizer or neutral density filters (optional) \n  \n  \n  \n  \nPhoto credit: Tracy Brunner
